Although excel is not necessarily my strong suit i think this would be a great tool to use in the classroom. This would fall under the intentional characteristic. It would be used to show results and a better understanding for the students. This can be used at any age but to get it to where the students could become more active I would focus on older grades.
Teachers could allow students to record data from projects of class poles and put it into charts that will show a more creative outlook on it. Students could also take projects into their own hands and develop charts together or individually showing records of information that interests them. This would help to include a constructive type of work for the students.
